How safe is kit Pro?
Very safe. When you sign up to kit pro, our software creates you a unique secret key that we use to encrypt your data. Without this key it is not possible to read your card details unless you have access to your physical phone with the app left open. It would take years to break the encryption method used and no-one ever has. We also have a pin code and biometric layer on the app as an extra precaution, in the event your phone is left unlocked.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If you have backed up your secret key then you will be able to retrieve all of your content.
If you do not have your secret key then once you have logged in again, the system will try to retrieve shared cards from people you shared them with, but you will lose any private cards you had saved.
From a security perspective, assuming you have set a pin on your phone or on kit then, if someone tried to break into it then your data will be encrypted and not possible to access.
Is there a card limit?
There is a limit of 8 cards on the FREE version. There is no limit to the number of cards that are shared with you from other app users. You can subscribe to kit PREMIUM to access unlimited cards. A popup will appear when you try to add your 9th Card.
